Harrah’s Council Bluffs renovating casino floor and hotel
Sporting 24 casinos, Iowa is a welcoming state to gamblers. Regrettably, Iowa online casinos are still prohibited. That probably won’t change this year, though Iowans can enjoy online slots and table games at sweepstakes casinos.
Harrah’s Council Bluffs renovation calls for a $6 million makeover of the gaming floor to add 200 more slot machines and also an enhanced sportsbook. A hotel remodel will cost around $12 million. It will include fresh design elements featuring bold purple and blue hues that complement the dark wood and contemporary fixtures, according to Harrah’s.
Across the Missouri River, Harrah’s Nebraska will open a temporary casino this month at Ag Park in Columbus, NE. The casino will feature about 250 slot machines. The permanent casino, expected to open next year, will cost around $75 million and feature a 40,000-square-foot casino and also a sportsbook.
