The Iowa Speedway offers free parking, but you can also buy passes if you’d like to park a little closer to the venue.

Free parking is located in the general lots surrounding the Iowa Speedway. The Hy-Vee Indycar race weekend website suggests entering off the I-80 exit for best access.

For paid parking, drivers can purchase passes in lot N or fenceline parking. Lot N passes are almost entirely sold out as of Monday, with just Friday-only passes remaining at $60. Fenceline parking costs $100 for a three-day package (Friday-Sunday), or drivers can purchase individual day passes for $50.

You can camp at the Iowa Speedway, too

The Iowa Speedway allows patrons to camp in RVs and tents inside the racetrack.

RV parking is located in the Turn 3 Terrace Lot and the General Camping Lot, which is outside of turns one and two. As of Monday, Turn 3 Terrace Lot parking is sold out. It cost $1,000 for parking without a track view and $1,500 for premium lower and upper lots.

Parking spots for the Iowa Speedway’s General Camping Lot are still available as of Monday, costing $170 apiece.

Tent camping is available in the General Camping Lot, too, but is sold out. This year, it cost 50.

Iowa Speedway history

The Iowa Speedway has been a staple of racing in Iowa since it opened in 2006. NASCAR purchased the facility in 2013.

The track in Newton has hosted the IndyCar Series, Iowa Corn 300, NASCAR Xfinity Series, CircuitCity.com 250 and U.S. Cellular 250 among others.

The asphalt track is 0.875 miles with four turns.
