The seats and viewing options may be hard to find for the Iowa State vs. UNI opener on Saturday. The Iowa State-UNI odds might be a little tricky find at the moment as well.

The No. 7 Iowa State Cyclones host the UNI Panthers at 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Since Northern Iowa is an FCS opponent, some sportsbooks in Iowa held off on posting odds for the game as of Thursday afternoon.

DraftKings Sportsbook in Iowa is an exception. You’ll find odds at BetRivers Sportsbook in Iowa and at Unibet IA — the state’s newest sportsbook — as well.

Other sportsbooks may set lines as the kickoff nears, so hover over the “Iowa Odds” menu option at the top of this page. From there, use the drop-down toggle to select college football. A second toggle at the page will give you options for spread, moneyline and over/under.

Here’s a quick glance for the Panthers-Cyclones game:

UNI faces long odds in road trip to Ames

Officials in Ames on Tuesday said the Iowa State vs. UNI game sold out Jack Trice Stadium. Next week’s Cy-Hawk game is also a sellout. Those back-to-back sellouts to start the season have only happened three previous times since 2015.

The game is being streamed as part of the “Big 12 Now” package at ESPN+. It costs $7.48 per month to add the subscriber platform if you want to watch your Iowa State football bets.

ISU brings back 19 starters from a 9-3 team that reached the Big 12 Championship game and won the Fiesta Bowl. Sportsbooks think UNI will have a long bus ride home, based on the point spread.

The Cyclones history of season-opening struggles in the Matt Campbell era, however. The Iowa State vs. UNI series has contributed its share of the angst for Cyclone fans:

  • 2016 — UNI beat Iowa State 25-20.
  • 2017 — The Cyclones beat UNI 42-24 in what might have been the only comfortable opener in Campbell’s five years at the helm.
  • 2018 — The opener vs. South Dakota State was canceled due to thunderstorms. Iowa State lost 13-3 to Iowa the following week.
  • 2019 — Iowa State needed triple overtime to beat UNI 29-26.
  • 2020 — The Cyclones lost to Louisiana 31-14.

Northern Iowa is No. 22 in the FCS preseason top 25.
