Iowa World Series promos for online sportsbooks

Either the Los Angeles Dodgers or the Tampa Bay Rays will start their quest for a title with a victory. Bettors in IA can similarly start the series with a win using these promos:

  • DraftKings: First-time depositors can choose their boost. Make a deposit of at least $5 and then select “Boost This Event” for Game 1. The sportsbook will issue you with a single-use odds boost for either team. The boost is for +10,000 (100-1) odds for the team you staked to win the game. The maximum bet for this promo is $1.
  • FanDuel: All users can do a “World Series bonus Same Game Parlay.” The parlay must be at least three legs and the final odds must be +200 or greater. If you don’t win, you will get a refund on your bet worth up to $10 in site credit.
  • PointsBet: The sportsbook has put a super booster on the Dodgers’ moneyline for Game 1. The odds sat at -165 but have moved to -140 in the promotion. Additionally, if you place a live wager during the game of at least $25, PointsBet will give you a free in-game bet worth up to another $25.

Of course, how exciting these deals are partially rely upon the action. Game 1, and the series, promises to be a competitive one based on some relevant numbers.

Will familiarity or rest prove more valuable Tuesday night?

Los Angeles comes into this game having just played its last seven games in the same venue, Globe Life Park in Arlington, TX. Tampa Bay had to travel, however, after winning the ALCS in seven games in Petco Park in San Diego, CA.

The Rays had an extra off-day as compared to the Dodgers. That might mean Tampa Bay’s pitching staff comes into the series more energized. That plays well to the Rays’ strengths.

Not only did Tampa Bay have the best bullpen during the regular season, but it uses that ‘pen extensively. Perhaps no team can counter better than Los Angeles.

The Dodgers had the best team earned run average in MLB during the regular season. Additionally, Los Angeles led all MLB teams in average runs scored per game, exactly a full run higher than the Rays during the 60-game campaign.

The teams never met during the regular season, but both did well in interleague play. The Dodgers won 14 and Tampa Bay 13 of their 20 games against teams from the opposite league.

Tuesday’s Game 1 could be an exciting start for the 2020 World Series. Winning a few bets would definitely help Iowans enjoy the rest of the series more.
