Meskawaki Casino in Tama adds IGT technology to its sportsbook

Meskwaki Bingo Casino Hotel in Tama, IA, is now using International Game Technology’s PlaySports to power its sportsbook.

Casino guests are now able to place a range of bets at the casino’s walk-up betting window or wager through the PlaySports QuickBet kiosks. Meskwaki Casino officials said they made the move to IGT technology to boost the capabilities of their sportsbook as well as enhance user experience.

IGT technology also used in several slot machines in Iowa and across US

While Iowa online sports betting is the most popular way for Iowans to bet on sports, most of the casinos in the state have sportsbooks open to players. Plus, you can watch the games live after you place a bet or two.

IGT serves organizations in 25 US states. Besides powering sportsbooks, IGT technology is used in several slot machines on casino floors. In April, IGT announced that its Wheel of Fortune and Megabucks slots awarded two jackpots worth over $4.5 million in March.

Also, last month, a player won a $14 million IGT Megabucks jackpot at Atlantis Casino Resort Spa. It was the largest slot machine jackpot win ever in the city of Reno, NV.

IGT’s first-quarter revenue topped $1 billion

IGT is a United Kingdom-based company that provides an integrated portfolio of gaming technology products and services. In the first quarter of 2023, IGT showed consolidated revenue of $1.06 billion, up 1%, or 3% at constant currency, compared to $1.05 billion in the prior year.

  • Global lottery revenue of $624 million was down 8%
  • Global gaming revenue rose 17%
  • PlayDigital revenue increased 17%

Another Midwest casino recently became part of IGT’s expanding network. The Potawatomi Casino Hotel Carter in Wabeno, WI, deployed the IGT Advantage casino management system. The new technology will allow guests to enjoy future-forward gaming experiences.

And, they can reap the benefits of a loyalty program linked to a sister property in Milwaukee.
