UFC betting is already a hot ticket for Iowa sports betting apps this weekend. A UFC 259 betting promo makes it more like getting a win via submission instead of a decision.

The DraftKings Sportsbook promo “Bet $1, Win $100” no-brainer offer returns for first-time depositors in Iowa for this event. The names on the card should make getting that bonus even more entertaining, as they rarely fail to impress in the Octagon.

Details of the UFC 259 betting promo

MMA betting fans were probably looking forward to Saturday’s main card, whether there was a promo like this or not. On top of featuring one of the strongest up-and-coming talents, Israel Adesanya, Amanda Nunes is also set to fight.

The last six words of that sentence are all any UFC fan needs to get excited; this event has some historical relevance, too. The main card boasts three title fights and features a middleweight champion moving up a class to challenge a light heavyweight champion for the first time.

Like any UFC competitor, you need to know the rules to take advantage of this offer. First off, this is for first-time depositors only. Additionally, you must deposit at least $5 the first time you add funds to your account.

After that, place a moneyline or straight wager of at least $1 on any fighter on the main card before 10 p.m. CST on Saturday, March 6. That includes:

  • Jan Blachowicz vs. Adesanya
  • Nunes vs. Megan Anderson
  • Peter Yan vs. Alijamain Sterling

You don’t need the fighter you staked to actually win her/his bout to get in on this deal, however. If either fighter lands a punch, you get the bonus. Should you pick a winner, though, you will also get your payout from that wager. The $100 bonus comes in the form of bonus bets. It also is paid out in four $25 increments.

So, let’s say you take Nunes (currently -1250), and she or Anderson record a punch during their fight. Further, suppose Nunes does win. You’d get the four $25 bonus bets plus a payout of $1.08.

Note that those bonus bets expire seven days after issuance. The promotional credit won’t count toward payouts of subsequent winning bets.

So, what could you use your four $25 bonus bets on over the following week? There are so many options.

Men’s college basketball, NBA, NHL and European soccer

No matter which day of the week you’re talking about from March 7-13, there’s something worthy of one of your four bonus bets. Here is a list of one highlight each day, including college basketball betting:

  • Sunday, March 7: No. 25 Wisconsin at No. 5 Iowa men’s basketball, 11:30 a.m. CST
  • Monday, March 8: Chelsea vs. Everton, noon
  • Tuesday, March 9: Winnipeg Jets at Toronto Maple Leafs, 6 p.m.
  • Wednesday, March 10: First round of the Big Ten men’s basketball tournament, 5:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, March 11: Boston Celtics at Brooklyn Nets, 6:30 p.m.
  • Friday, March 12: Houston Rockets at Utah Jazz, 9 p.m.
  • Saturday, March 13: Big Ten men’s basketball tournament semifinals, noon

Hopefully, you can turn your $100 in bonus bets into real cash by winning other bets. Even if that isn’t the case, UFC 259 looks like it could feature a week’s worth of action in only a few minutes.
