This casino started as a riverboat. In 1996, the Kanesville Queen was a huge three-story boat, which made regular cruises on the Missouri River in line with the Iowa gambling laws at the time. This casino ran under Harvey’s brand for many years.
It was bought by Harrah’s in 2001 and, in turn, Harrah’s was acquired by Caesars Entertainment. The boat was scrapped in 2013, with the casino moving to the sight of a former convention center.
